Namo Namaha friends. We are almost a week into the calendar new year, and it still feels quite unreal! As expected, nothing much has changed, magically!😔
Honestly though, it would have been nice if our problems could have been magically wiped out with the start of a new calendar, isn’t it? Alas! it’s not to be!
Anyway, gloominess doesn’t serve our purpose. So let’s resolve to be positive and have faith that things will definitely take a turn for the better, yes?
Now, in this post, I’ll be outlining my reading plans for this month.
As you know from my 21 books in 2021 challenge as well as my Priority Series post I have some grand plans for this year and I want to systematically get through them one book at a time.
I am also participating in various other challenges and readathons created and run by other creators, so, yes, I am anticipating a busy and fruitful reading year, this time too.
So let’s get started with my January TBR(To-Be-Read), shall we?
First off, I am starting with The Ninth Rain which is the first book from the Winnowing Flame trilogy by Jen Williams. It’s one of the series from my Quarterly Priority Series Challenge. The Ninth Rain will also be counted in for my 21 books Challenge statistics.
Continuing on with my 21 books challenge, I’ll be reading the following books
- The Well of Ascension – Second book from the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson
- The Blade Itself – First book from the First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie
In addition to the above mentioned four books, I also want to complete atleast one ARC(Advanced Reader’s Copy) this month. My Kindle has a lot of backlog ARCs and I want to get a hold on it before it becomes unmanageable.
Also, I want to read an Indian book. Preferably a Non-fiction as I love consuming Indian non-fiction more than fiction.
Though the above-mentioned books are quite high, priority-wise, in my reading list, knowing myself, I’ll definitely mood-read a book or two. So I’ll keep some spots open in my TBR to accommodate my inevitable mood-read books.
So long story short. The following is my tentative TBR books list for January.
January 2021 TBR
And that’s it, folks! What about you? Which books are you planning to read? Or are you the type that wings it and reads books based on mood? (Which by the way is one of my favorite ways to read!)
Are there any books that you think I absolutely should include in my reading list this month? Or have you read any of the books on my list and want to discuss them?
If yes, then do not hesitate to share your thoughts with me on my SM channels @twitter, @instagram, or @goodreads. You can also join me at my book club in discord or @ bookclubz, and buddy read these books with me.
Let’s keep the bookish conversation going. Till then, stay safe and blessed. Om Shanti.
