Year-end TBR – Books I would like to complete by the end of 2020

Namo Namaha friends. I am back from my short hiatus and I am raving to go. Though I can feel a massive reading slump coming on to me, I still want to read as much as possible. Why this sudden spike in interest you may ask? Simple. I missed reading books. I missed reading, as one would miss a soft, cozy bed. It was uncomfortable and slightly distressing to not be able to read as much as I wanted to.

So here I am plotting and planning my reading adventures, last minute though it is.
We are well at the end of November and the last month of the year will soon be upon us (Don’t mind my weird usage of language, I am currently reading The Hobbit and I still am in its thralls!) which means I want to wrap-up most of the books that I had started reading during this year and had left off in the middle.

I want to start the new year (hope, it’s better than this disastrous one 🤞) with a fresh slate with some new books and new series. Hence the next few weeks I’ll be focussing on completing the books that I started but did not finish or had kept aside for various reasons. It’s my discarded pile of books. A pile that I am revisiting as part of my year-end cleanse routine.

For this discarded-pile challenge am only considering my physical book collection (Let’s face it, I’ll need more than 5 weeks to complete all the arcs and e-books that I have started and abandoned in my kindle universe, trust me, I am suitably shamed!).

So, without further ado let me list down the books that I hope to complete before 2021 welcomes us.

Discarded-Pile Challenge TBR (To Be Read)

  • The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
  • Let's Talk Money by Monika Halan
  • Beartown by Fredrik Backman
  • Circe by Madeline Miller
  • The Book of M by Peng Shepherd
  • The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang
  • Man's Search for Meaning by Victor. E. Frankl

I might track my reading progress throughout the month depending on how well the reading goes. So, do watch out this space for more updates on the same.

So, what are your year-end plans? Are you participating in any challenges or readathons? Reach out to me via my SM channels @twitter, @instagram, or @goodreads if you would like to buddy read any of these books with me.

That’s all from my end. Stay safe and blessed. Om Shanti.
